This is one of the kindest deeds done by the Parma Police Department!

Believe it or not, when it comes to protection they went a step further.

A  mourning dove created a nest at the base of the windshield on a police car that luckily is a back-up cruiser and is not used every day, so they didn’t have to move the dove’s nest.

But that’s not all! They went to a great length and even put an umbrella over the dove’s nest in order to protect it from bad weather and conditions. They even left a water cup for her, and also they were feeding her with worms that they have dug up from the mud.

The officers are also making sure that the bird isn’t disturbed, how cool is that?

There are two eggs in the nest, and they have nicknamed the bird Gerty!
