A group of experts had a task to reveal the scientific basis of dolphins’ behavior when it comes to interaction with people. The human brain has several similarities with the brain of a dolphin.
For example, both humans and dolphins have the limbic system in the brain, which is responsible for “managing” emotions. However, this system is much higher in the dolphins than it is in humans, which makes the animal more emotional than human, so they can do more to control their behavior in stressful situations.
This explains their calm behavior while staying in captivity. In such situations, they even show humor, empathy and a high degree of self-control.
