Jacob Best, a high school senior was driving down the highway G76 near Melcher, when he noticed something strange.

He saw a glimpse of somebody with their hand up in the ditch.

That arm that was pointing in the air belonged to 37-year-old John Tyler. Tyler was thrown into a ditch after crashing into a deer.

The motorcycle was completely totaled.

Best called 911 and he stayed with Tyler until paramedics showed up to bring him to the hospital.

Tyler was lucky Best saw him, it was raining a lot and he could’ve drowned in that ditch.

Tyler is in the hospital in intensive but stable condition, recovering from serious injuries.
